The Loch Ness Monster

Biography

The Lochness Monster, also known as Nessie, is a creature of sorts that many people believe to reside in Loch Ness, Scotland. The first written account was in a 7th century biography of St. Columbia depicted in stone carvings. This story described someone being bit by the creature and when it was about to approach a man who was swimming when Columbia intervened telling the creature to return. It obeyed and went away. After that, for centuries, only occasional sightings were reported and even to this present day there are still apparent sightings of the beast. There are people who even claim they have the eggs of the Loch Ness but claim they won't hatch for another thousand years. It is also believed that there are multiple creatures who live in different lakes around Scotland and possibly even beyond it. Fact or fiction, myth or legend, everyone knows about the Loch Ness monster. Will we ever find out who this beast truly is? Will we ever know its' intentions? Does Nessie truly exist? We may never know... but it is fun to think about.
